18 year old, lower extremity LE, etiology unknown

I'm 18 years old and have had lymphedema in my right foot since I was 16. My research keeps coming up short. I can't find the cause of why I have it. I've looked in a few medical journals, but I only get the common causes. I am nor have I ever been a cancer patient and I have not had surgery on my legs or feet. I have been using compression stockings, I run track so I'm always active, when I am seated my leg stays elevated, yet the swelling has not gone down. I went to another doctor in another state and was diagnosed with the same thing. After two and a half years of no success, I'm starting to turn toward holistic medicine.
